Pacific Coast Fog Fest
Discover Pacifica Parade
Get down to Palmetto Ave. in Sharp Park, pick your favorite spectator spot and join the fun as the Fog Fest Discover Pacifica Parade rolls down a 1 mile stretch and ends at IBL Middle School.
This year's parade theme is, "In Fog We Trust." Grand Marshalling for us this year in honor of our theme is, KTVU Channel 2 meteorologist, Rosemary Oroczo. Rosemary will be broadcasting live before the parade at the festival grounds. And, Honorary Grand Marshal is a Pacifica native, US Olympic Rugby player, aka "The Beast," we welcome Danny Barrett.
Another parade feature and display this year is a replica vehicle from the 1971 cult classic move, "Harold & Maude." From the collection of Ken Roberts they recreated the Jaguar-Hearse that will also be on display at the north end of the fesitval grounds all weekend long. The last infamous scene of the movie was filmed in Pacifica where the vehicle meets its demise at the cliffs of Mori Point.
Of course there will also be fun decorated floats, dancing groups, marching bands, walking groups, antique vehicles, music floats and much more.
Parade participants will have a chance to win in four judging categories for the opportunity at cash prizes.
