Pacifica Goodwill is a local not-for-profit thrift store conveniently located at the Linda Mar Center. The first Goodwill was founded in Boston in 1902 by Rev. Edgar J. Helms, an early social innovator who believed in the philosophy, “A hand up, not a hand out.” More than a hundred years later, 162 Goodwill chapters service communities in the United States and Canada. Residing under Goodwill of San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo Counties, the Pacifica Goodwill is brimming with treasures at bargain prices. A friendly store team welcomes tourists and locals alike seven days a week, and, most importantly, store sales help fund job programs for local people in need of a Second Chance.
